lyrics
Aged wine face lift
Ghost mage purse lips
Blazed trail pay slip
Made up language
Said so prefect
We’re just a dying breed
There is no in between
Major arcana forfeits
The get out clause you wanted
In the same breath
Begged forgiveness
You’re so big headed
It’s common knowledge
You spoke a dark cloud
With poison in your mouth
Found ways through endlessness
Got passed the senselessness
Wore love just like a fortress
Madonna complex privilege
If progress’s a hollow dream
And Everything between
Is so unextraordinary
Seems meaning’s all in being
We are the dying breed
And Everything between
This started over nothing
But failure’s always more honest

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
