lyrics
Snake ate a, I want numb, what is the rush?
Snake ate a, go give them hell for heaven’s pearls
Where sand is tortured glass
Where eyes are tempered bone
Lady is, queen of flies, and spirit thrash
Said, yeah, you can trust me
Yeah, we’re on a kill streak
Said, you know the drill
Yeah, you know me well
Swore I’d kneel before the great uncertainties
We’re just ill equipped, taking the piss
Our plots get lost, so sketch
So, I’m the best drunk text
But loopholes are for gods
And our truest love is not
Who even cares?
If everything is
Temporary
Or so they’re telling me
So, meh so effortlessness
So why do serious?

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
